Well, Lilly, welcome to the Hazletons.
You don't know this, because you weren't even born yet (in fact, neither was your Big Sissy, but that's another story), but a while back we had to leave town on your Momma's birthday because of a BIG storm. Guess what? We are doing the exact same thing for your birthday this year! . So even though you won't be at home for your very first birthday, at least you'll have something you can share with Momma - you're both Hazleton Hurricane Honeys.
Your Momma and I love you very much, Baby. Let's have another exciting adventure and take a road trip to your great uncle's house in Shreveport! There will be lots of room for you to walk around outside in his big yard - when it's not raining. Everyone there will be so impressed with what a big girl you are and how well you can walk now. We'll have a party for you there, with your aunts, uncles, cousins, Nai Nai, and Papa! It'll be great! And on the way we can listen to the birthday CD your Granna got for you!
But for now, sleep a little longer while Mommy and Daddy pack up and get all your surprises ready. It seems like you'll have one uninvited guest on your birthday this year - but at least Ike will bring some adventure with him!
