Beautiful post Shannon. We all need to appreciate our loves more for the little things. The google video yesterday said mountains. I just pray that people got the point that it is not the things but the time you spend with your honey. Even better if you spend it doing something they enjoy. Anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new little Hazelton!

Hi there,
You don't know me from Eve, but I have prayed for little "Kirk," or his real name, Christopher Anton. In March of this year, the Lord laid a heavy burden for HIV positive orphans on my heart. I looked at photo listing and "Kirk's" face just stood out to me. I began to pray for him and 11 other HIV+ orphans. He is the only one I have found with a forever family. You are your family are an answer to my prayers. I continue to pray that he adjusts to his new family and becomes a Christian. Thank you for caring and giving.

I haven't ever left a comment on your blog before, but I have enjoyed reading the updates on your blog which I found because I had been praying that the Lord would provide your 2 newest Blessings with a Godly Daddy and Mommy who would show them the love of Christ.
In response to your latest post, I will be praying that the Lord would provide you with the needed help or encouragement as you seek to faithfully carry out your responsibilities as a Mommy, and that you would moment by moment see His strength made perfect in your weakness! Don't forget to treasure these moments and that every mess is a reminder of each precious life that God has placed in your home!

Mercy. That kind of love satisfies my heart's affections. I can only imagine how full her cup is, how loved she feels. As I read your post, esp where you mentioned that ya'll get to be the ones to love on Lena Joy, I couldn't help but think of what Lena will say one day, about your incredible love for the Father that overflows onto/into her,...one day when she gets to be my age. Oh, I can't wait for that day! Can't WAIT to see what the Lord will do in her...in YOUR family.

Your pictures are priceless! What a wonderful day for all of you. Isn't it the most rewarding thing seeing the joy on our kids faces when they get to experience something like a birthday party that most kids have never considered not having.

I am thinking about trying to get a group of adoptive families together for a playgroup. I personally know of at least 5 families locally that adopted from overseas. Shoot me an email if you have any interest in this.

my word, never knew you were such a writer. your writings are so beautiful. I love how descriptive they are, to the point where I can see the images in my mind, my own images of home. Love them all. For me to write something like this, it would take LOTS of concentration, LOTS of time, LOTS of quiet. I know you don’t have LOTS of any of that. It’s just that you’re blessed and words flow freely from your pen. I love your gift!
